In addition to this, Zoom Webinar unlocks its audience cap of 500 people (in Zoom meetings) all the way to allow up to 10,000 attendees. Though the flow is unidirectional, Zoom Webinar allows the panelists to engage the audience in polls, Q&A’s, etc. This separation allows for a directed flow of information that is not something a Zoom Meeting is about.īuilding on the aspect of unidirectional flow of information, Zoom Webinar panelists cannot see the audience, and the attendees cannot see each other. After the conclusion of the event, you will retain the webinar functionality for 48 hours to download any cloud recordings and obtain webinar reports. The license will be applied approximately 14 days prior to the event (weekends and holidays will be the next business day). Please place your request no later than 14 days prior to your scheduled event. 
Starting on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, you can use the IT Service Portal to request Zoom Webinar licenses for individual events. As of July 31, 2020, currently assigned Zoom webinar licenses will no longer work. In preparation for the upcoming fall semester and to accommodate growing demand, UMass Amherst is changing the way Zoom Webinar licenses are distributed.
